Galacticast!
Posted August 1st, 2006 by Matthew in ProjectsHey all,
Hope you’re enjoying the new stuff that’s been posted! I just wanted to give you a heads up on something really fun that is just over the horizon.
So, you’ve heard Dave talk about the site Galacticast.com. If you haven’t taken a look at them yet, do yourself a favor and go check them out. Funny, funny stuff, especially if you’re a fan of sci-fi/comics. Dawn! I’m looking at you! Rudy Jahchan and Casey McKinnon produce consistently funny shorts, and unlike us, they are timely about it. Huh, timely. That’s a crazy concept that just might work. Anyways:
Now, why am I pimping them so hard? Well, they are nice folks and I like them, so that helps, but ultimately it comes back to the fact that I self promote like a madman…who self promotes a lot. Coming up on Galacticast (maybe next week?) is an episode for all the people who loved the new Superman movie (Jeff). The short film explains what happened just before Superman Returns, and why Superman left. And it was written by the fine folks here at g14.
The episode will be shot and edited entirely by Rudy and Casey, and will be first posted on Galacticast. My advice is you check it out there first. At some point after that (because we Looooooovvve taking our time) we’ll post it here on the site too. It is the first in what I hope will be many collaborations of our two teams to put out funny stuff that makes you laugh.
Then…could it be? Less than a year after our win for Ultimate Eye, the second episode is coming up soon! This has to be some kind of record for us!
There’s more fun stuff to talk about, but I’m gong to save it for later. In the meantime, check out Galacticast!

I tried to check out Galacticast (because I do what Matthew tells me to) but unfortunately I can’t at work–the computer lacks the capability. But I’ll try again at home, I promise! Why am I telling you all of this? Because I like to be the first respondant! Love ya!

Jessie, it’s obvious that I am your favorite from g14 since you are the only one who posts a comment on my entries…
To the rest of you: Curse your sudden yet inevitable betrayal.
That’s fine though…Rudy, Casey, you still love me right?
Hello?
Anyone?

You know I love you, Matthew. However, I’m busy making sure that the awesomeness of UE2: POP lives up to the awesomeness of UE1: HTC (HTC= “Hang Tough, Constantine”… don’t ask me, I’m just going to blame Dave since he’s without internet access for about a week).

Jessie - Yes … watch our show … then you too shall know the power of the darkside …
Matthew - We love you. That is why we haunt your dreams …
That and the army of telepaths we have hired to project our image into your brain. See previous comment on “darkside” to Jessie.
Jeff - Looking at all of you guys’ works, I believe awesomeness if pretty much guaranteed. And yes … we are great.

I still love you, Matthew! I’m just not able to check out the blog as often as I’d like. I did read your post about Galacticast and went to the site to check out a few of the short features. Quite funny!! I’m a sucker for sci-fi geeks making fun of sci-fi. I will have to send my husband to check it out, too. thansk for making my day a little brighter! :)

Yay Galacticast & Rudy & Casey! Can you haunt my dreams too please? Cuz right now, they’re mostly about Matthew and that’s pretty boring right now. So some darkside stuff would be great!
OH come on Matthew don’t be such a baby. YOu know you ARE my dream everything :)
Love ya, mean it! (like Jessiekenneyfromchicago)
(Hey you started it with the whole G thing and brand guidelines, I mean really, rub salt in the wound why dontcha?)
