Blog 2.0: Blog Harder
Posted September 26th, 2006 by jeff in NewsWell. It’s official! Today marks the official launch of the marketing campaign regarding “Blog 2.0: Blog Harder”. Beginning on October 4th, g14 will be bringing you a weekly video short.
What kind of short you might ask? Well, that entirely depends on what our sick little minds can create. We’ve already got several ready to go. They may be sci-fi/comic related (our first love). They may be sick and twisted (our other first love). They may be short, they may be long. You’ll never know until it’s there.
So, check out the new header on the page. Notice that “rants” is where the old text-based blog now lives. We’ll be updating that to add some functionality pretty soon. Then stop in to the “videos” section to see the new postings. We’re working out some kinks on what formats we’ll be posting up there, but by the end of today we should at least see Windows Media and Quicktime.

I think the first question I’d ask is…How weekly is this?
Don’t we have enough to do…like ignoring getting Noir finished, not bothering to write any new feature scripts, pimping out Galacticast, and generally being caustic to our audience? That takes up a lot of time.
Especially since I have an even longer commute now to and from my job. Why did I decide to work in DC again?
Anyways, enjoy the new stuff people! To start you off, we’re going to show you…something that we put up yesterday! THAT’s the way to start this off right! THAT’s the g14 way!!

F-YEAH! Blog WAY harder. I’m very much looking forward to seeing weekly video shorts. Kind of how I looked forward to Noir being released in September. Yes, I am being a smartass, but only because I look so forward to your creative endeavors and my heart breaks a bit every time I have to wait longer to enjoy them.

Congratulations again Matthew and Kelli… The wedding sounded like a blast. And you guys looked beautiful in the pics. Especially you, Matty, with your hair blowing in the wind…
So, this movie Noir… Can I see it yet? It’s almost ready, right?
The new Blog Harder Trailer is f’n awesome. Really well-produced and aside from not featuring my punum in it, it was hella-hilarious and wicked-cool.
You know what I feel like doing? Going to the movies! Hey, it’s September! That one movie, Noir, opens, right? Who’s up for it? I am!!
You know what would make a great present for my birthday (comingupoctober16th)?? A dvd copy of that movie NOIR!

Matthew– excellent question. How weekly? VERY weekly.
JessieKenneyfromChicago– Well, September has come, and almost gone. And you won’t see Noir in September. BUT, we did do a screening down at the wedding and gathered some very good feedback. We’re working on a revised edit of Harry, at the same time as our audio folks are working on making the audio mix PERFECT. So, we’re still later than we hoped, but it’ll all be for the good.
Sean– Awwww… I’ll give you something SPECIAL for your birthday. And you’ll LOVE it.
Dawn– We love you too. Especially when you’re weeping with happiness.

Sean–loved your entry. It made me giggle. You think the repeated hints about Noir will get it finished? I’m hoping it does. And Jeff probably DOES have a present for you that has little to do with a film. I only say that because I don’t think it will be done by Oct. 18 (and may I be the first to wish you a Happy Birthday?!) But when it IS done, I know it will be excellent. Because that is what g14 does.
