Don’t Panic!

Posted September 25th, 2006 by jeff in News

Hey all! Tonight we’ll be switching over some functionality on our blog. So, if you come back tomorrow and things look different, don’t panic. I promise that everything we are doing will lead to new and exciting things. I know some of you fear change. I fear change. But don’t fear the reaper.

In other news, I’m working on posting at least a few photos from Ho’s camera at the g14 wedding of the century shortly. I’ll let everybody know once they are up.

Screening!

Posted May 14th, 2006 by jeff in News

Hey all! I just wanted to drop a quick update about the screening on Friday night. g14 and friends were on-site at the AFI Silver up in Silver Spring to see “48 Hour Film Project: A Good Corporate Citizen” and various competition screen. First off, I’d like thank all 11 people (that really includes me, so… uh, 10 people) who came out Friday night. I hope a good time was had by all.

I think our film went over pretty well, despite some technical difficulties. Unfortunately, the folks who were projecting the film, projected it at the wrong aspect ratio, so we lost some of our jokes (all titles) and a little bit of Kel’s head was cut off. You all will see what I’m talking about when we post the film this week.

All in all, though, we think it went over pretty well. They’ll be announcing the winners this week, so we’ll keep you posted.

In other news, congrats to Dawn & Jeff! Woo-hoo! She’ll always be “Abby G” to me. Or even “A.G”, which is hood for “Awfully-Cute Gangsta”. Awwwww.

Anyways, peace, love and newly hung drywall to everybody!
Jeff

P.S.– if you get a chance, check out our good friend Mike Bass’ epic masterpiece from this year’s 48 Hour Film Project at http://www.washingtonimprovtheater.com/. It’s pretty darn funny, although sadly, there are no abortion jokes. Maybe next year, Mike.

New Life…

Posted May 12th, 2006 by david in News

Today is a great day! As of 1:20pm, the 48 Hour Film Festival has yet to disqualify our piece. Gnarles and I were talking last night and we can’t decide if it is better to win something at this thing or to be kicked out. Whatever the outcome, it looks like our flick is going to screen tonight! Hurray. There is truly nothing better than this happening this day.

Oh. And a lifeform was ripped from my sister’s womb this morning around 7:30AM. According to reports it is small, wrinkly, and prone to burst of crying. In short… boring. I don’t know the exact minute of birth or the weight of this parasite - mainly because I really suck at asking follow up questions - but I am assured she is terribly cute. Anyway, her name is Abigale Grace and in 18 short years, she’ll be legal. (Please stay away Ho.)

I remain,
The Best Uncle Ever David C. White

Why does Jesus hate us?

Posted May 9th, 2006 by jeff in News

I’m going to go out on a limb and assert that Jesus hates g14 productions. I think the partial abortion birth jokes may have been the last straw. That’s right, the son of Christ has found his retribution. Old Testament God had his plagues and floods. Well, his son took a page from that book, and flooded the crap out of my home not 24 hours after we delivered the master piece for the 48 Hour Film Project.

Due to either divine intervention or a faulty water sensor in my washing machine, I now have waterfront property! If you are sitting on my couch, watching water pour out of my television, you should enjoy the scenery of a small waterfall pouring from the ceiling and running along the floor. It’s really increased the “Curb Appeal” (see how I did that, g14?) of my house.

That’s right. I no longer have a ceiling in my living room. I do, however, have a rather large gaping hole. FUN!

So… next year, Jesus better watch out. Vampires may no longer fear the sun, but they fear the son of God. The Son of God, however, should FEAR ME.

Now It’s Like…We Got Hats…

Posted April 11th, 2006 by Matthew in News

Well…look at this craziness. Now we’ve got our own blog, in our own home, with our own…uhm…movies.

As you might be able to tell (because you can read), g14 has set up a blog directly on our website. Now, there’s no more tedious login through AOL (although we love AOL Time Warner). You can just go to www.g14productions.com and click on ‘blog’ to read our various rants! Plus, you can leave us messages about how much you love us, and how you want us to do more stuff more often!

All in effort to stay better in touch with you, our friends!

So enjoy the rantings, we’ll try and give you something new as often as we can. Hell, I’ll probably type so much nonsense you’ll leave comments for me to stop!

Thanks for hanging out and we hope you enjoy!

Matthew
